“Education is where tradition meets possibility: honoring who we are while preparing our children for all they can become.” -Unknown Author-
I have the unique and fortunate perspective of being both a parent and the principal of Martha P. King Elementary School. Boulder City has been my home since the age of three, and I am proud to be a product of our schools, having attended Andrew J. Mitchell Elementary, Garrett Junior High School, and Boulder City High School—back before King was built.
For over 20 years, I have dedicated my career to education, beginning as a first-grade teacher and growing into the role of principal. I am passionate about improving the lives of children through education, and I believe deeply in the power of strong foundational skills. At King, our focus is on building excellence in reading, writing, and mathematics to ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed.
As both an educator and a parent, it brings me great joy to see the same strong traditions that have always defined Boulder City continue to shape our school community today.
